Alpha GPC (L-alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine) helps human health by boosting brain levels of acetylcholine, supporting cellular membrane integrity, and potentially enhancing physical power output. It is widely used to support cognitive function, athletic performance, and age-related memory decline.
alpha GPC has demonstrated significant efficacy in treating neurodegenerative diseases such as cerebral ischemic stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and multi-infarct dementia, with few side effects and good tolerability. As early as 1990, Italy was the first to develop GPC active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms. Most clinical studies have employed a dosage of 1200mg per day (administered in three divided doses of 400mg each), demonstrating cognitive benefits. However, high doses may be suitable only for patients with dementia. Therefore, it is advisable to commence with 300mg, assess the efficacy, and then increase the dosage if necessary.
